About Together4Children
Together4Children is a partnership between Shropshire Council, Staffordshire County Council, Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Telford & Wrekin Council. We are the regional adoption agency for the four councils and therefore have the responsibility for finding the right families for the children who require adoption .
The partnership is an innovative way of delivering adoption services within your area. Working together means we can offer greater choice and a better support service for both children and adopters.
Your regional adoption agency
Through Together4Children, our four local authorities work in partnership to deliver a range of adoption services across the region, including:
Recruiting and assessing adoptive families
Finding families for the children from our region who need adoptive families
Providing adoption support services to adopted children, their families, birth families and adopted adults
Here at Together4Children we understand that adoption is most successful when a wide variety of support options are available.
We believe in providing the right support, at the right level, at the right time for all our families.
We see support as the key to everything we do
We know that some of the most valued support for adopters and their children comes from other adopters. We offer a range of peer support and training options so that everyone has the opportunity to be a part of our adopter community.
Where families need something more, we have skilled and experienced, multi-disciplinary practitioners on hand to provide specialist advice to you.
We know that the best way to support families is to support parents to understand more about different approaches and to assist families to parent in a way that supports everyone’s wellbeing.
If required and as appropriate, we can also advise and support access to therapeutically trained practitioners, play therapists, social workers, clinical psychologists, and others with specific skills and qualifications.
We know that adoption is a lifelong journey and we aim to provide the right support at the right time.

We know it can be scary and daunting making those first steps on your journey. A member of our friendly and experienced team will support and help you to decide if adoption is right for you.
As you travel forward on your adoption journey, you will hear about children from all four local authorities for whom we are seeking families. Children that need permanent, loving families and for whom adoption is the right outcome.
